Qualifications : Must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current state Registered Nurse license (or eligible) in desired state of interest. In addition, a minimum of 5 years of full-time or equivalent experience as well as 2 years in a nursing (Long-Term Care setting ) supervisory capacity as a DON are essential.

Nurse Manager -Southgate Health Care Center,
Carneys Point, NJ

Position: Nurse Manager 300- Sub-acute Unit
Department: Nursing
Reports to: Director of Nursing

Southgate is searching for a talented, motivated take charge RN Nurse Manager to lead the unit’s clinical team. Candidate will be responsible for all care regimens, staff management, supply and medication management and coordination with support services to the 34-bed sub-acute unit. Position reports to the Director of Nursing.

The individual must have had advanced training and broad nursing experience including supervisory duties. The work requires administrative ability, knowledge of training techniques, ability to adapt techniques and procedures in accordance with unusual situations, and the. The work is carried out according to standards of professional nursing practices, center policies, rules and regulations, and State and Federal standards.

REQUIRMENTS:

Must possess current valid nursing license in the State of New Jersey.
Comprehensive knowledge of RAI process
Case management experience preferred
2+ years of supervisory experience
2+ years of Sub-acute experience
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to accept and perform assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
Must be prompt, dependable, honest, patient, caring, and willing to work under supervision.
Must be able to calculate medication dosages and demonstrate sound judgment during emergency situations.
Constant problem solving, assessment, analysis, reasoning and reading.
Provides for the emotional support of the residents, when needed, by recognizing, understanding, and respecting their psychosocial, cultural, religious, and economic needs.
