Welcome to the Web site for NJADONA. Our mission is to offer support and education to New Jersey Directors of Nursing in Long-term care. We offer an annual convention, workshops and seminars throughout the year, a newsletter and access to the New Jersey Directors of Nursing Membership List. We would love to have you join us.

Description of Duties: Responsible for planning and facilitating Care Plan meetings, responsible for entering information into MDS program and transmitting information to DHSS, responsible for accuracy of MDS information and communicating Care Plan information to Nursing staff, staff education/in-services as it relates to the MDS.

Job Summary: The Long-term Care/Post-acute Care Director of Nursing, under the supervision of the Vice President/Administrator, is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and directing the overall operations of a 298- bed department which includes a traditional nursing home, specialized behavior-management unit, and a post-acute care unit. The Director of Nursing leads the Center's clinical team to fulfill the organization's mission, vision, and values. Demonstrates dynamic leadership, communication, and collaboration with physicians, staff and families. Ensures our Person- and Family-centered Care is delivered within scope of practice, is of high quality, and meets the individual needs of those we serve in accordance with current rules and regulations that govern the Center.
Qualification-Requirements: Must have a minimum 10 years' experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably as a Director of Nursing. Minimum of a BSN with valid NJ licensure with experience in a skilled-nursing, post-acute, or equivalent setting required.
